Infinity Care Hospital, situated in Orderly Bazar, Varanasi, is setting new benchmarks in modern healthcare. Infinity Care Hospital is well equipped with modern facilities and machines. Today we will talk about the General Surgery and Laparoscopic Departments. Dr. Javed Rehman Ansari, Department of General Surgery and Laparoscopic, explains that laparoscopic surgery is a safe and painless operating procedure. In this procedure, the patient does not suffer much pain after the operation and goes home as soon as possible. It is also called day-care surgery, in which the patient is able to walk and do their work within 24 hours after the operation.
He says “At Infinity Care Hospital, we use modern machines. Firstly, we shift the patient to OT for laparoscopic surgery. Then anaesthesia is given. First of all, carbon dioxide gas is filled by piercing the patient’s stomach with a port, due to which the patient’s stomach becomes bloated. After this, we start the procedure with the help of three more holes, one for the HD camera and through two holes we insert surgical instruments. With the help of the console, the doctor monitors every movement of the instruments inside the abdomen and removes the part that is the cause of the disease.”
Why is it considered safe?
With the help of laparoscopy surgery, successful operation of gall bladder (gall bladder), pelvis, upper and lower GI tract, thorax surgery, appendix, large and small intestine with hernia is possible. The patient’s recovery is very fast in the laparoscope. Before this surgery, the patient’s condition, his health, and the severity of the disease are examined. This surgery is much simpler than open surgery, and the patient does not have to take long bed rest. The patient can go home in two days.
Doctor Ansari further says that in this surgery, a half-cm round incision is made on the stomach of the patient. After the operation, two to three stitches are required to close it. In contrast, a five to fifteen inch incision is made in open surgery. In open surgery, the patient has to rest for 25 to 30 days. Along with the risk of infection in the stitches, it also becomes troublesome due to its breakage. But in laparoscopic surgery, the patient is saved from all these problems, and their recovery is also faster.
The moment you said that certain surgical procedures would result in a quick recovery period thanks to the advanced equipment used, it gave me so much relief. I know for sure my niece should take a closer look into this aspect when reaching out to a consultant to help her out. She’s been trying to help her friend with the establishment of a new surgical facility which they’ll operate starting next year.
